ECC Sprint Europe and Tracey expand cooperation
ECC Sprint Europe (ECC) has renegotiated and extended its contract with Tracey. Initially, the company used Tracey’s data tools solely for monitoring its own operation, now they are also integrated into SHIPSMART: the self-developed shipping software which is also available for third parties.
Optimization of customer service and logistics processes
Soon during the first conversation, it became clear that the rapid pace at which ECC grew also led to increasing pressure on its customer service. A lack of capacity and decent software generated a lot of manual work and issues that were noticed and addressed too late.
In the spring of 2021, the collaboration between both parties started with a connection to Tracey's monitoring system (Parcel Now): this service provides immediate insight into issues in the delivery. In addition, Tracey actively participates in the selection process for a suitable customer service solution for further professionalization in this area.
The past year was characterized by continued rapid growth for ECC: volumes doubled and the number of warehouses in the south of Limburg expanded to three. Due to these developments, the need for insight into the performance of the various carriers with which the company works is also growing.
Since June, ECC has therefore chosen to purchase the Parcel Past and Next module from Tracey. These modules ensure, among other things, that both ECC and its customers are data-driven in their choice of carriers and the assessment of their delivery performance (Past). Furthermore, they also benefit from the smart predictions that Tracey offers which help to manage expectations around the delivery (Next).
Huib Adriaans, one of the founders of Tracey, is delighted: “Of course we are happy that we are continuing and expanding our collaboration in such a way. As relatively young, but fast-growing companies, it is nice to follow the developments on both sides. There is regular contact between us and we try to help each other in various areas.”
Integration in own shipping software
One of these developments is the integration of Tracey into its shipping software: SHIPSMART. While this solution was initially used as an IT system for ECC's internal operations, it is now also being offered to third parties on the market. The solution offers shippers the opportunity to easily create labels and send parcels, taking advantage of the favorable rates offered by ECC. Tracey's various modules are now also part of SHIPSMART, giving users access to up-to-date tracking information and reports.
Founder of ECC, Bryan Hoogkamer, explains: “Tracey's products contain various features that we would like to offer to our customers. With this integration, we save ourselves a lot of development work and therefore time. In addition, Tracey has a number of unique elements, which we would also have difficulty developing ourselves. Then you have to be smart and enter into collaboration with specialists in this field.”
It also shows the versatility of Tracey's data solutions, according to Sander Hak, product manager within Tracey and co-founder: “It's great to see that our products are not only being used by ECC itself but can also be used as a white label. By adding our intelligence to SHIPSMART in a smart way, the users of this platform can also benefit directly. A win-win for everyone!”
